Foodies Festival Christmas, Edinburgh’s favourite food festival at the EICC on 24, 25 & 26 November

Some of my favourite childhood Christmas memories involve food. From lobster on Christmas Eve (I’m from Maine) to the big special plate of christmas cookies, Christmas in my house evolved around good food and good friends. I’m looking forward to introducing my daughter to some of these traditions.

Christmas Sprit at the Edinburgh Foodies Festival

The Edinburgh Foodies Festival is the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit. From recipes and top tips from celebrity chefs to masterclasses and more, this festival will help you become the best holiday host.

Boozy Holiday Cheer

Food isn’t the only thing on offer as the festival will also feature activities devoted to festive beverages. Check out the wine and champagne masterclasses, champagne ski bar, and a swanky gin alley.

I personally like the emphasis on wine. With shows on wines of the Mighty Rhone Valley, Wines from the Napa Valley, and even wine tasting, what’s not to like? There’s even a special session on port.

Bring the Kids

While the adults sip festive beverages, kids can take part in the Elf Cookery School, enjoy Christmas carols from popular local musicians, or indulge in treats at the Pudding Hall. Kids can partake in workshops like gingerbread man decorating or Christmas cookies! These workshops are certain to bring joy into their little hearts and create new family memories.

Get Crafty

In addition to a host of fabulous food and drink events, the Foodies Festival will also include some Christmas craft workshops. From making festive wreaths to fine chocolates, these workshops will help you to deck the halls.

Puds, Food, and More

Of course, the star of the Foodies Festival is the food. As a big fan of MasterChef, I’m totally excited to watch MasterChef finalists show off their skills. Scott Davies, Neil Forbes, Jamie Scott, and Gordon Craig are just some of the well-known chefs that will be performing at the festival.

There will also be a host of workshops on Christmas treats such as Christmas Pudding Scones & Apricot Brandy Butter or Mint Chocolate Dinner Tart. These creative shows will definitely inspire your Christmas puddings.

It is set to be an event to remember. The Foodies Festival truly has something for everyone. Kick-off the Christmas season at the Foodies Festival on the 24th to 26th of November. More information and the full schedule is available at the Edinburgh Christmas Foodies Festival Website.
