The Barony Bar
The Barony Bar is an Edinburgh institution.
We’ve got an ever changing selection of fine ales, over 40 whiskies, and good home cooked food.
We have live bands every sunday night, check our profile for details of who’s on when.
“Established pub with warm vintage finish, wooden floor boards and a bar that has good selection of real ales. Usually has a warming fire in Winter time. A good place for a quiet pint, a read of the newspapers, or idle natter, and also a lively Friday night!”
During the Fringe 2009, the Barony bar – aka venue 311 – was the stage for an in situ play called Barflies produced by Grid Iron Theatre Company and The Traverse.
Fifties-set, feature-length animation The Illusionist (which opened the EIFF in 2010), featured drinking scenes inside the Barony.
